Call for papers!

Thelypteris decussataWe, the Editorial Committee of Acta Botanica Brasilica, have an invitation for you!

We are preparing a special issue commemorating the 30th anniversary of the journal with the theme “Secretion in Plants”, a subject of your domain and interest. We will be considering articles that address structural, ecological or physiological aspects of the presence of secretion in plants.

If we find colleagues willing to accept the challenge of seeing this issue published in January 2017 (with online publication first in 2016), we will celebrate with them the 30 years of our journal and the release of the first impact factor assessing the editorial policy adopted in 2014. We are hopeful that our impact factor in 2016 (to be released in June 2017) will be close to 1.0; moreover, with the release of this issue we intend to bring more visibility to your articles and increase their citation potential.

Manuscripts that we receive in response to this invitation will be assessed by the same procedure regularly employed by our editorial routine. We will consider original review articles (preferably), opinion articles and other types of articles as described in our instructions for authors.

If you are interested in participating in this special commemorative issue, please let us know by informing us of the type of article you intend to submit (and if you can, include the title and an abstract) and the expected submission date to Submissions are to be made by the procedure outlined on our homepage ( until August 12, 2016. Please state your intention to participate in this special issue in your cover letter. If accepted, your manuscript will be published (online first) within 30 days!
