Special Issue on Aquatic Plants!

07/02/2020

Acta Botanica Brasilica (ABB) will publish a special issue on aquatic plants to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Aquatic Plants Experts Group of the Botanical Society of Brazil. Dr Suzana Moreira and Dr Edson Moura Júnior are serving as Handling Editors of this issue. Manuscripts can be submitted until June 30, 2020. We expect to publish this special issue in 2021. Authors must inform in their cover letter that they wish to publish the manuscript in this special issue. The manuscript will follow the same steps during editorial process as spontaneous submissions. Thus, please note that submissions for this issue are not a guarantee of acceptance.

The special issue will focused on: i – review or opinion studies regarding theoretical and/or methodological paradigms and their implications in view of the knowledge of the natural history of aquatic plants; ii – experimental or applied studies on the ecophysiology, phylogenetic systematics, functional ecology, macroecology, conservation biology, and biological invasion of this plant group. We discourage strictly floristic study and/or only-descriptive proposals. Hypothesis-driven studies are especially welcome. For additional details, please see carefully the scope and author guidelines of ABB at http://acta.botanica.org.br/.

ABB’s intention here is to contribute to efforts performed by the research groups that investigate aquatic plants in Neotropics. We look forward to receiving your manuscript!

Dr. Pedro V. Eisenlohr

Editor-in-Chief
