Senior researcher at the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi and currently Science Coordinator at the National. Member of the management committee of the Flora do Brasil online 2020 project, an affiliate member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, and a member of the Superior Council of the Brazilian Botanical Society. Research interests include taxonomy of phanerogams, flora inventory, phytogeography, and taxonomy of Poaceae, with a focus on Bambusoideae, with vast experience studying the flora in various Brazilian biomes.
