I am a professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. My research interests include biogeography, macroecology, phylogenetic diversity, ecological modeling, vegetation ecology, and conservation biology. I have a particular interest in understanding how ecological niches have evolved in the past and the implications of this for biogeographical patterns and species responses to future environmental changes.
