Integrating the Permanent Nucleus of researchers of the Graduate Program in Biological Sciences – Tropical Botany (Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia/Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi). My research area comprises anatomy applied to taxonomy and phylogenetic systematics, secretory structures, insect-plant interaction, medicinal plants, characterization in electronic microscopy, pharmacognosis and histochemistry. The main botanical groups in which I have been working are: Angiosperms (Arecaceae, Araceae, Euphorbiaceae, Melastomataceae, Orchidaceae, Passifloraceae, and Poaceae), Ferns and Lycophytes
