I have a PhD in Biology (UN Comahue, 2002), and have been a researcher at CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council – Argentina) since December 2004. My interests and experience are with ethnobiology. My perspective is biocultural –linking ecology and culture– and I attempt to understand the connection between humans and nature in diverse ecological and cultural settings. I have published on a variety of different ethnobotanical and ethnoecological topics.

When authors publish in Acta Botanica Brasilica they receive additional benefits:

  • In partnership with SciELO we provide our articles free to readers (open access);
  • Our open access papers are more likely to be cited;
  • There is no cost for publication for SBB members;
  • The efficiency of our evaluation process will surprise you (averaging less than 60 days);
  • We are indexed in the major databases such as Web of Science/Clarivate Analytics, Biological Abstracts, Scopus and others.
