Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, followed by a Master’s degree in Genetics, and subsequently completing a Doctorate in Biological Sciences with a focus on Biotechnology, all from the Federal University of Pernambuco, I also undertook a sandwich period at the Senckenberg Gesellschaft für Naturforschung in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and the Universität Kassel in Kassel, Germany. Currently, I hold a position as a professor at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM). My professional expertise encompasses the following fields: Cytogenetics and Cytotaxonomy, Plant Molecular Biology, and Floral and Reproductive Biology. I specialize in conducting phylogenetic and phylogeographic analyses of plant groups originating from diverse regions, including the Atlantic Forest Domain, Dry Forests, and Amazonian Cangas.
