I am currently a postdoctoral fellow specializing in plant biology. With a Master’s from UFMG and a Ph.D. from the University of Rostock (Germany), my research focuses on functional ecology, community ecology, biogeography, biodiversity conservation, natural history, and floristics. My primary focus lies in exploring the intricate ecological and evolutionary dynamics of inselbergs, those rocky granite outcrops that serve as terrestrial islands in diverse landscapes. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for discovery, I have traversed various continents, from Brazil to Europe, Madagascar to Western Australia, studying the unique flora thriving amidst these geological wonders. Alongside academic pursuits, I engage in science outreach through podcasts, storytelling, and articles for general audiences. Passionate about fieldwork, I’m driven by curiosity to explore and contribute to our understanding of the natural world.
