I am Full Professor at the Department of Botany of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. My research area comprises biosystematic and evolutionary studies with emphasis in Iridaceae and Poaceae species. My major interest is the knowledge of the biodiversity using phylogenetic and population genetic tools to support conservation actions.
