I am a Full Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ – National Museum. My areas of research are palynology and its applications. My interest has focused on the pollen morphology and palynotaxonomy of several families with an emphasis on Asteraceae (Angiosperms, Bryophyta and Pterydophyta s.l.). I have been working as Editor for the ABB since 2009.
